More about Barcelona

I am coming with the second part of sightseeing in Barcelona. This time I managed to see some new places and prepared even more recommendations :)))

Walking around the Barrio Gothic area you can find a lot of gems like this one. The examples are countless, so make sure to walk around and put your phone away.

There are plenty of good places to go out but bear in mind that clubbing in Spain tends to be more expensive than in Coventry. There is a good deal for Erasmus students when you sign up for the Erasmus Barcelona app. You get information on which club is letting in Erasmus students for free. The one I was told is really worth paying for is Razzmatazz or Apollo.

The city doesn't have a long history, so places like the Triumph Arc are pretty rare. Once you are there don't forget to stop by Parc the Compostela as well.

For a walk consider visiting Parc de Compostela. It's located a bit behind Ell Born neighborhood, very close to the Botanical garden.

Instead of a night out consider going to Bunkers, which is some old ruins on a top of a hill with a beautiful view of the whole city. Make sure to arrive before sunset to watch the amazing play of lights and stay till it gets dark and the whole city lights up.

Walking to the Bagatelle beach you can stumble upon a carousel, which on some particular occasions is accompanied by some other entertainment.

The best route to take while going to the beach is to take the D20 bus. You can admire the views from behind the window and the bus is going quite close to the coastline so you can admire the views for the whole length of the journey.

The Bagatelle beach might get boring at some point, but don't worry! Only half an hour away by train there is a small city called Sitges, where you can enjoy the sea even more. The train for the most part of the way passes right next to the coastline so don't forget to look up. Choosing this option remember the cost of 10 for the return train.

Another place to admire the city from above is the Montjuic Funicular. You can walk the way on foot, but the funicular allows you for a relaxed ride, without any other strangers. Choosing this option remember of cost of 14 for the return ride or 9 one way.
